1. Introduction

Welcome to Typic. We are committed to protecting your personal data and your right to privacy. This privacy policy explains what data we collect, how we collect it, how we use it, and with whom it is shared — including our use of third-party AI services — when you use our application.

2. Data we collect

We collect the minimum amount of information necessary to provide you with our services. This includes:

  • Account information: your email address, name, role, and company affiliation for authentication, account management, and team collaboration.
  • Content data: post text, prompts, keywords, industry, tone, target audience, and photos you input into the app to generate posts.
  • Voice profile data: writing samples and style preferences you provide so that generated posts match your voice.
  • Location data (optional): if you choose to include a location or use nearby-place suggestions, we process your location to suggest relevant places. Location is only used when you explicitly request it.
  • Integration data: if you choose to connect third-party platforms like LinkedIn, we store the necessary authentication tokens to publish content on your behalf. We do not access or read your external feeds or connections.
  • Usage data: anonymous usage statistics, such as the number of posts generated and AI token usage, for billing and service improvement.

3. How we collect your data

We collect data in the following ways:

  • Directly from you: when you create an account, write prompts, upload photos, add writing samples, or configure your preferences in the app.
  • From your device: when you grant location permission to suggest nearby places.
  • From connected services: when you connect LinkedIn, we receive your public profile information (name and user ID) needed to post on your behalf.
  • Automatically: we record service usage metrics (e.g., posts generated, tokens used) to operate and improve the service.

4. How we use your data

We use the collected data strictly to:

  • Generate, enhance, and schedule your LinkedIn posts using AI.
  • Analyze optimal posting times based on your content.
  • Publish content to your connected social media accounts, only when explicitly requested by you.
  • Manage your account, company subscription, and team access.
  • Improve the service through aggregated, non-identifying usage statistics.

5. Third-party AI services

Typic's core feature — AI-powered post generation — is provided by third-party AI services. When you use AI features, we transmit the following data to these services:

  • Your post content, prompt text, keywords, industry, tone, and target audience.
  • Photos you attach to a post, which are analyzed to describe your work.
  • Your writing samples and voice/style preferences, so the generated posts sound like you.
  • Your name and company name, so posts can be personalized.

The third-party AI services we use are:

  • OpenRouter (openrouter.ai), a third-party AI routing service that forwards your request to an AI model provider. OpenRouter does not store or log your prompts — they are only forwarded to the model provider to generate your content.
  • AI model providers behind OpenRouter, such as Anthropic (Claude), which process your data to generate the requested content.

Your data is processed by these services only to generate the content you request. We do not sell your data, and our agreements with these providers prohibit them from using your data to train their models or for any purpose other than fulfilling your request.

6. Consent and your control

Before any data is shared with a third-party AI service, the app asks for your explicit permission and explains what data is sent and to whom. You can:

  • Grant or decline consent during onboarding. If you decline, AI features will not be available.
  • Change your mind at any time in the app's Settings under "AI Data Sharing".
  • Disconnect LinkedIn at any time in Settings, which immediately removes our access tokens.

7. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your information with third parties for marketing purposes. Your data is shared only with:

  • Our secure infrastructure providers (Supabase) that host your data.
  • The third-party AI services described in Section 5, only with your consent and only to process your requests.
  • LinkedIn, only when you explicitly request to publish content.

8. Data retention and deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You own your data. You may request the complete deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at the address below. When you delete a post, its associated images are also deleted.

9. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.
